Dr. Susan Anthony is now working on a compelling new book project 2010/11. “We need another Hero Generation.”
In collaborating with David Gibbons on the program "In Discussion" at VoiceAmerica, she has a powerful idea for many of the interviews on
her shows with David - to underpin the questions in her series of shows with the archetypal theme of finding the
hero within... after all this is what her work is all about. Susie has invited people onto IN DISCUSSION with her, because
they have had the courage to make the sacrifices and take risks necessary to inspire the 'listenership' to look
inside and find their best selves, and do something to make our world a better place. Extracts of these interviews
with permission will be reproduced in her forthcoming book, the second in the award winning Map to God series, 'Famous
Spiritual Integrity'. In this book Susie is building a collection of truly moving and profound interviews with really
remarkable people who all share frankly about faith and integrity.

Western Films define an incredible genre in the American
film industry. It's power explained everything about the determination of those that believed in the American dream and the
conquering of an unknown frontier. The intensity of the Western films during the period of the 1960's to the 1960's has been
somewhat diluted and holds less interest to the film community. However, there mystique and message of an incredible fortitude
in the people who founded America, has resurfaced again with films like The Searchers (1956), High Noon
(1952), Unforgiven (1992), The Wild Bunch (1969), Butch Cassidy and the Sundance
Kid (1969), McCabe
& Mrs. Miller (1971), Wyatt Earp (1994), Broken Trail (2006) made for TV series with Robert Duval, Thomas Hayden Church
and Todd Allen, and of course Dances with Wolves (1990) which although not exactly falling within the same genre was a masterpiece
of storytelling and cinematography featuring Kevin Costner.

Academic Discussion - Series on the Torah

Programs in Series
Next Program to be
Announced, 2010 Guests: C.L. Mitchell and John Core Master of Divinity
In this Series
C.L. Mitchell and John Core Master of Divinity investigates the literary, historical and theological contours of the five
books traditionally attributed to Moses – the books that make up the Torah or the Pentateuch. The Torah is itself
a highly variegated and intricate aggregate of several different genres (types of text) and authorial voices; it is the
product of a long history of composition, transmission and redaction (editing), one that spans many centuries of ancient
Israel's existence. The Pentateuch contains many of the 'foundational narratives' of Israel's religious and national
past, as well as myths, laws, stories and ideas that are rooted in the broader cultural world of the ancient Near East.
